The Vision
Based within a 9-storey landmark adjacent to Lime Street station, Learn:Live:Love Liverpool, offers an information gateway for visitors to Liverpool. Facilities include events booking, transport info, locally produced gifts (made-here), bike hire and tours, left luggage & pop-up food stalls. Upper floors provide a budget capsule hotel and augmented reality learning/info space centred on the city.
At ground level, services of great need for visitor arrivals are at hand, whether hiring a bike (Citybike), charging a phone, accessing wifi, tapping into local tourism info and events. Moving upwards, visitors get the opportunity to dwell more, grabbing tasty street-food from pop-up stalls, or buying unique goods from independent retailers. Situated at this level is the entrance to a short-stay capsule hotel which ascends to the seventh floor.
In a fast-track lift, visitors will be able to bypass the hotel to reach the top 2 levels, with a rooftop terrace to take in views, or beneath that, immerse themselves in augmented reality and be transported to other parts of the city in history, present day and future.
